Why Tint

More Than Good Looks

Quality window film works every single day — cutting heat, blocking UV, killing glare and adding privacy. Here's exactly what you get, and how to choose the right film.

The Benefits

Six Reasons To Tint

Serious Heat Rejection

Premium films reject a large share of the sun's heat before it gets through the glass. Cars stay cooler in parking lots, rooms stay comfortable through summer afternoons, and A/C systems stop fighting a losing battle.

99% UV Blocked

UV is what fades dashboards, bleaches hardwood and damages skin on long drives. Quality film blocks up to 99% of it — think of it as sunscreen for your car and your home's interior.

Privacy On Demand

A darker shade keeps passengers, valuables, tools and your living room out of view. For homes, daytime privacy films let you see out clearly while people outside see only reflection.

Glare, Gone

Low winter sun, wet-road reflections, headlights at night — glare is a genuine safety issue. Tint takes the edge off so your eyes relax, and screens at home or the office stay readable all day.

Lower Energy Bills

For homes and commercial buildings, solar film cuts cooling load at the source — the glass. Many buildings see meaningful summer energy savings, which is why film often pays for itself.

Stronger, Safer Glass

Film bonds to the glass and helps hold it together if it breaks — from a stray rock, a break-in attempt or an accident. Shards stay stuck to the film instead of flying.

Film Types

Not All Tint Is Equal

The shade is only half the story — what the film is made of decides how it performs and how long it lasts.

Dyed Film

The budget option

A dyed layer darkens the glass for privacy and style at the lowest price point. Good looks on a budget, but modest heat rejection — and cheap dyed films are the ones you see turning purple and bubbling after a few summers.

  • Most affordable way to get the look
  • Good privacy and glare reduction
  • Entry-level heat performance

Carbon Film

The solid all-rounder

Carbon particles block infrared heat much more effectively than dye, with a rich matte-black finish that never fades purple. No metal layers means zero interference with GPS, radio or phone signals.

  • Strong heat rejection at a fair price
  • Deep matte look that lasts
  • Signal-safe — no electronics interference

A quick word on BC tint laws

British Columbia restricts how dark the windshield and front side windows can be — rear side windows and the back window are far more flexible. Don't stress about the rules: tell us your vehicle and the look you want, and we'll set you up with a package that looks right and passes inspection.

FAQ

Common Questions

How long does a tint install take?

Most cars take 2–4 hours for a full package. Single windows or brow strips can be under an hour. Homes and commercial jobs are quoted per project — a typical house takes about a day.

When can I roll my windows down after tinting?

Give it 3–5 days. The film needs time to cure against the glass, and rolling the window early can shift the edge before it's bonded.

Why does my tint look hazy or have little water pockets at first?

Totally normal. That's the mounting solution evaporating through the film as it cures. It clears on its own within days (sometimes a couple of weeks in cold weather) and the film dries perfectly flat.

How do I clean tinted windows?

Wait a week after install, then use a soft microfibre cloth and an ammonia-free glass cleaner. Ammonia products (many classic blue glass sprays) break down tint over time — avoid them.

Will tint interfere with my phone, GPS or radio?

The carbon and ceramic films we install are metal-free, so there's no interference with GPS, Bluetooth, cell signal, tire-pressure sensors or keyless entry.

Can you remove my old purple, bubbled tint?

Yes — removal and replacement is one of our most common jobs. We strip the old film and adhesive cleanly, including over rear defroster lines, and install fresh film the same visit.

Does window tint help in winter too?

It does. Tint cuts low winter-sun glare (the worst glare of the year), blocks UV year-round, and some films even help retain interior heat slightly. It's not just a summer upgrade.

What warranty do I get?

Our films carry manufacturer-backed warranties against bubbling, peeling, cracking and purple fading — and we stand behind our workmanship on every install. Ask us for the specifics on the film you choose.
